Since opening in August 2004, the Spa at Elbow Beach – a Mandarin Oriental spa - has received numerous accolades from hotel guests and local customers, as well as the international media. 

The Spa has six private spa suites, including two couples’ suites. This concept of total privacy means that guests enjoy holistic treatments from our team of highly trained therapists in tranquil seclusion.  Decorated in soothing colors and organic textures, with handcrafted granite soaking tubs, bamboo flooring and river pebble lined steam showers, the Spa Suites offer havens of serenity.  The four single suites have private balconies with daybeds and all suites enjoy breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean – perfect for enjoying post-treatment relaxation time.

The Spa has Asian accents, hinting at the award-winning spas that Mandarin Oriental operates around the world; yet the ambiance heralds a distinct island feel.  This is enhanced by unique Bermudian treatments, such as the Bermuda Pink Sand Scrub and the Rum Swizzle Ritual.

Signature experiences include Mandarin Oriental’s signature spa therapies which have been devised to
address guests’ increasing desire for simple, effective and authentic spa experiences.

These one hour and 50 minute treatments were developed in consultation with specialists in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and master aromatherapists. Each signature therapy consists of a relaxing, hands-on body massage ritual that combines the powerful effects of oriental meridian massage with the therapeutic benefits of custom-blended essential oils, created uniquely for Mandarin Oriental.

Treatments begin with a private therapist consultation in order to determine each individual’s personal and current state of wellbeing. The treatment and oils are then tailored to each guest in order to leave the body, mind and spirit in perfect harmony. Guests are also provided with nutritional and exercise guidance, in order to extend the beneficial effects of the programme at home.

The Spa also promotes Time Rituals - Mandarin Oriental’s innovative concept of booking time in order to provide personalized treatment programmes.  Based on your needs for that day, the therapist will design a Time Ritual with only you in mind. Each journey provides a peaceful passage calling upon ancient traditions and techniques of Chinese, Ayurvedic, European and Thai cultures.
