Renewed Menu Inspires Use of Local, Seasonal Ingredients in Chic City Setting
BOSTON, MA – Asana, Mandarin Oriental, Boston’s stunning signature restaurant is modernizing authentic New England cuisine with a fresh approach for Boston’s lively dining community. Our dynamic culinary team is reinventing the use of local, seasonal ingredients with an affordable and comfort dining menu drawing inspiration from each colleague’s local and international roots.
“Our talented culinary team is bringing a modern interpretation of the New England perspective to its menus,” says Susanne Hatje, General Manager, Mandarin Oriental, Boston. “At our colleagues’ skillful hands, we are excited to offer one of the most exquisite, relaxed and inspired dining experiences in the city.”
Inspired by local and seasonal ingredients while applying modern twists, our culinary team offers a menu enriched with taste and tradition. In crafting their distinctive interpretations, our colleagues utilize the finest, fresh and seasonal ingredients from nearby farms such as Siena Farms in Sudbury, MA or Sparrow Arc Farms in Unity, ME. Inspirations for appetizers include Chilled Maine Lobster Salad with Orange Segments, Shaved Baby Beets and Lemon Vanilla Vinaigrette. Additional dinner entrées include Georges Bank Sea Scallops with Celery Root, Bok Choy and Pork Belly or Red Wine Braised Veal Osso Bucco with Homemade Potato Gnocchi, Patty Pan Squash and Baby Carrots. Dinner ranges from $3 to $26 for appetizers and $21 to $39 for entrées. Dessert creations include Strawberry “Shortcake” with Vanilla Cream, Strawberry Ice Cream and Sable Crumbs or Hazlenut & Vanilla Bavarian Cream accompanied by Mango Caviar, Hazlenut Dacquoise and Popcorn Ice Cream. Desserts range from $10 to $12.
For an unparalleled gastronomic experience, our private Chef's Table – which seats up to 10 guests – is located in a glass-enclosed room in the kitchen offering a “first row seat” to all of the action behind the scenes. Custom made and inspired by the guests’ preferences, the menu is stylized, creating an ultimate culinary journey. In addition, M Bar & Lounge is the place to see and be seen in Boston. The bar menu has been updated to reflect our Asana offerings and more. American Wagyu Beef Sliders or Seaweed-Daikon Wrapped Ahi Tuna are some of the items to accompany your perfect cocktail. Some of the unique libations featured include the Mandarin with Mandarin Blossom, Aperol and Sweet Vermouth or the Amour with Elderflower, Grapefruit and Champagne.
Asana is open daily serving breakfast, lunch and dinner from 6:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. as well as brunch on the weekends from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. For reservations and more information, call (617) 535 8800 or visit www.mandarinoriental.com/boston
