BOSTON, MA – New world-class function facilities redefine Boston events, whether for a high-level business conference or social soirée, as Mandarin Oriental, Boston opened. Featuring more than 10,000 square feet of elegantly designed, versatile and technologically-advanced function space, the new luxury hotel can host gatherings as intimate as 12 delegates up to 600 attendees. Mandarin Oriental’s legendary service ensures that every detail of each event will be executed beautifully.
With its ideal Back Bay location on Boylston Street, adjacent to The Prudential Center and the Hynes Convention Center, Mandarin Oriental, Boston is at the heart of what’s happening in Boston. Newbury Street, Boston Common and the vibrant South End restaurant scene are all easily accessible and Boston Logan International Airport is a quick 15 minutes away. Mandarin Oriental, Boston has the city’s largest average room size with 148 guest rooms, including 12 suites. An award-winning 16,000-square-foot Spa and Fitness Center, signature restaurant Asana, and the chic M Bar & Lounge complete the luxurious setting.
Thoughtfully designed, all of the hotel’s function space is conveniently situated on the second level. Guests arrive via the lobby’s elegant glass and limestone staircase or by swift elevator access. Floor-to-ceiling windows flood the space with natural light and afford the charming views of Boylston Street. Paneled throughout with golden-hued satinwood and trimmed in mahogany, the 4,200 square-foot Oriental Ballroom, accommodates up to 600 reception guests – or 380 seated banquet-style. The Ballroom can also be divided in half (2,100 square feet) for smaller groups. Additionally, there are three smaller, equally impressive, function rooms: The 1,280-square-foot Bangkok room can accommodate up to 150 guests; the exquisite 670-square-foot Beijing room; and the 525-square-foot Hong Kong boardroom, ideal for breakout sessions or executive meetings. Each of the function rooms has ample private pre-function areas to host coffee breaks, reception and event registration.
All of Mandarin Oriental, Boston’s function rooms come equipped with high-speed wireless and wired Internet access, up-to-the-minute audiovisual systems and computerized temperature controls allowing meeting and event planners to make simple adjustments. Due to the hotel’s connection to the Newbury Arcade, large scale décor, scenic pieces and props can be showcased in all function rooms. To promote communication, planners can program personalized messages and images on flat panel screens outside each function room. Meeting attendees can view a tape of the day’s session, or hear from their chairman via a secure channel in their guest room. Messages for event participants may be displayed on their in-room televisions as well. Mandarin Oriental, Boston also provides a comprehensive business center, efficient administrative services and translation services.
The banqueting program at the hotel is an essential ingredient to help set a Mandarin Oriental, Boston event a substantial notch above the rest. A dedicated kitchen, adjoining the meeting space, individually-designed menus, creative presentations and unparalleled service combine to show-stopping effect. Mandarin Oriental, Boston’s restaurant – Asana – or the M Bar & Lounge can provide the perfect venue for guests looking to mingle before or after their meeting, be it for cocktails, a quick bite or an early breakfast meeting.
