Mandarin Oriental, Jakarta opened its doors in 1978 and quickly became one of the most refined meeting venues for Jakarta society and the expatriate community. After a comprehensive renovation, the property reopened in October 2009, as the most luxurious and contemporary hotel in the city.
The all new hotel boasts 272 spacious guestrooms including 56 oversized and beautifully appointed Mandarin Rooms and six suites, all of which are tastefully designed in a classic and contemporary style by the renowned design firm Lim, Teo and Wilkes (LTW), combining every modern facility with the Group’s oriental heritage and Indonesian culture. All rooms are equipped with Mandarin Oriental’s state-of-the art in-room technology, including PC and iPod connectivity, 42” LCD TV, Inncom management system, complete surround sound system and mood-control lighting.
The hotel offers a variety of innovative dining concepts, with four new restaurants featuring a range of international cuisine from quintessential regional Chinese to an authentic French brasserie experience. There is also a signature Mandarin Oriental Cake Shop and a chic MO Bar overlooking the main Jakarta thoroughfare.
Over 1,000 square metres of luxurious meeting and banqueting facilities, caters for up to 700 guests, all equipped with the latest meeting technology and enhanced by natural daylight.
In the middle of this bustling city, the hotel offers a relaxing retreat with a range of facilities including a swimming pool, surrounded by lush greenery and views of the Welcome Monument fountain and city skyline. There is also a well equipped Fitness and Wellness Centre including four treatment rooms.
The Group has 96.9% ownership of the hotel. The General Manager is Mr Andrew Abram.
