Meeting and Banqueting Facilities

Meeting and banqueting facilities at the all-new Mandarin Oriental, Jakarta occupy the entire third floor of the building with separate access, allowing for more privacy and comfort, perfect for VIP arrivals.  A permanent breakout area is also available, giving delegates a private space with a residential feel.

All the meeting rooms feature state-of-the-art technology and are decorated in a graceful Southeast Asian theme that is enhanced by natural daylight.  The escalators leading to and from this level have been cleverly concealed by a fretwork screen decorated with bold, indigenous patterns.

The Ballroom

Covering nearly 600 square metres, the Ballroom is Jakarta’s prime venue for social and diplomatic functions.  Along with a private area and a dedicated large foyer, the Ballroom is perfect for medium-sized functions of up to 285 people seated for a conference, 350 for a banquet or 700 for a reception.  It can also be divided into three individual areas for smaller and more intimate functions.

Located on the third level, the banquet and meeting rooms are connected by a pre-function space with side windows to allow for natural light.

The Ballroom décor is a blend of traditional elegance and a touch of Southeast Asian flair, with high, sweeping ceilings and crystal chandeliers.  The Southeast Asian theme resonates in the colour scheme and texture palettes, which feature warm and earthy tones, as well as stylised patterns reminiscent of tribal designs.  The room offers a regal affluence with subtle Southeast Asian charm.

The Boardroom and Meeting Rooms

As befitting the corporate purposes of these spaces, the design style and colour palette of these rooms are subdued and sophisticated.  Windows offer a view and ample natural light.  The hotel’s Southeast Asian heritage is reflected in the bold presence of local handicrafts, together with various art pieces by prestigious local artists that give an overall rustic elegance.

The spacious Boardroom is equipped with a table that can accommodate up to 14 people.  With its own in-room breakout area, this is the perfect setting for a formal corporate meeting requiring a discreet environment.

The Tanjung Rasamala rooms are twin venues located next to the Boardroom.  This is an ideal space for smaller groups looking for an intimate surrounding.  Each of the rooms can accommodate up to 40 guests for a cocktail party, while the combined rooms allow more space for corporate training, seminars or dinners.

The Esquire Room is located next to the Tanjung Rasamala rooms and is the most unique of the hotel’s spaces.  This space has its own private pre-function area, an outdoor balcony and a state-of-the-art kitchen area, making it an ideal venue for private hosting and other social functions.

Mandarin Oriental, Jakarta also offers award-winning restaurants and a bar, each embellished with its own charm and characteristics, and ideal to cater to special, exclusive social functions fit for all types of clientele.

Cinnamon

Cinnamon is a lively and contemporary restaurant that takes guests on a journey through the Orient, serving Asian and international dishes.

An inviting space for casual dining, day or night, this rustic-chic restaurant flaunts a subtle Southeast Asian theme with distinct modern touches.  The use of such natural materials as untreated wood and marble flooring, limestone walls and sisal carpeting imparts an idyllic pastoral feel that is pleasantly complemented by a palette of warm colours with hints of gold.  As an accent statement, traditional batik is “deconstructed” and then reinterpreted as striking wall panels on various walls.  To carry this Asian theme throughout the space, geometric patterns reminiscent of indigenous themes are also used.  The main dining room is flanked on one side by floor-to-ceiling windows, bathing the area in natural light.  This soothing setting is further enhanced by a green view of the landscape beyond the windows.  Quilted columns serve to define the space, instilling both an element of intimacy and understated grandeur.

The restaurant can seat 162 guests, including in the lower section, which alone can cater to 46 guests.

Lyon

Lyon is a French restaurant, serving traditional French dishes prepared with the best ingredients and served in a brasserie setting.  In essence, this restaurant delivers the very best of French cuisine in a relaxed, yet sophisticated environment.  The warm, light coloured tone of the main hall is complemented by rustic, classic French designed wallpaper combined with contemporary artworks.

The restaurant has two elegant and unique private dining rooms, The Glass Room and The Beaujolais.

The Glass Room is uniquely located between two glass-walled wine cellars and complemented by a large floor-to-ceiling glass window overlooking the lobby area.  Plush in maroon hues, a long wooden table and classy chandelier gives this private dining room, which can accommodate up to ten guests, a majestic air.

The Beaujolais is adorned with sheer white shades, an elegant chandelier and a solid black long table to seat up to 14 guests.  Overlooking the main thoroughfare, this private dining room is the perfect venue for an intimate dinner or cocktail party.

The main restaurant area can seat 107 guests and up to 120 for a cocktail reception.

Xin Hwa

Xin Hwa offers an intimate environment combined with three private dining rooms, making this the perfect space for business and social events.  Unobtrusive, discreet service combined with excellent cuisine delivered in a friendly but sophisticated environment allow Xin Hwa to cater equally well to business gatherings, small family reunions, intimate wedding parties and, of course, all Chinese gourmands.

This modern yet majestic Chinese restaurant boasts a colour palette of Royal Oriental colours: jade and gold spectacularly juxtaposed with dark grey and black accents in the form of “brush stroke”-style motifs and intricate carvings reminiscent of Chinese paper cut-outs.  The restaurant is adorned with tasteful contemporary Chinese art, giving the space a trendy and friendly atmosphere.

Xin Hwa has three private dining rooms, one of which can seat up to 12 guests, with each of the two smaller rooms seating seven.

The main dining area can seat 60 guests or up to 50 people for a cocktail event.

MO Bar

MO Bar is a perfect venue for socialising on all occasions, with a rich and welcoming design and windows overlooking the main Jakarta thoroughfare.  MO Bar combines music and service to give all guests a true feeling of hospitality.

The bar is stylish with a modern European design featuring lashings of opulence, meticulously interpreted in this stunning space by the use of diverse bold textures, creative layering of plush materials and rich burgundy accents that seductively evolve into hues of lavender and deep aubergine.

The bar can cater to up to 120 guests for a cocktail reception and seats 80 guests in its regular set-up.
