‘The Spa at Mandarin Oriental’ – a haven of tranquillity within the heart of Knightsbridge that combines harmonious design elements with therapeutic rituals – is entirely dedicated to the guest’s well-being.  Using Mandarin Oriental’s signature product line developed specifically for the Group by the award-winning UK based company, Aromatherapy Associates, ‘The Spa at Mandarin Oriental’ tailors treatments to the specific needs of each guest, acknowledging their individuality.

Adopting a different approach to the traditional spa experience, the spa offers a series of innovative and restorative treatments, known as ‘Time RitualsTM’, where guests are encouraged to book ‘Time’ rather than a specific treatment.

Each Ritual begins with a recommendation by the spa manager to arrive 45 minutes ahead of the actual treatment. This period of preparation enables all guests to fully immerse themselves in the philosophy of the spa by relaxing within the separate male and female areas that include:

A Sanarium which is a variation of the classical Sauna, combining sauna with humidity, ensuring a more gentle and comfortable experience, enhancing the relaxation process. 

A Vitality Pool that has been designed to aid the release of tired and aching joints. It contains a selection of hydrotherapy body jets, a floor jet as well as a reclining lounger with jets to gently massage the entire body.  Up to four guests at a time can sink into the depths of the 36-degree soothing pool.  Another innovative element in the relaxation process is the Amethyst Crystal Steam Room, its main feature being a large Amethyst Crystal, designed to induce mental peace, tranquillity, inspiration and meditation.

A Zen Colour Therapy Relaxation Room, invites guests to unwind on specially designed Azumi beds, while listening to calming music through inbuilt headphones or enjoying one of the exclusively blended exotic herbal teas. Guests are then led by therapists and taken up to the treatment suites. The experience starts with a relaxing foot massage whilst an individual analysis of each guest’s lifestyle and characteristics takes place in order to individually tailor their Ritual. 

‘The Spa at Mandarin Oriental’ offers full and half day packages, in addition to holistic hand, foot and nail treatments.  Guests who are not staying at Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park need to book a minimum of two hours at ‘The Spa at Mandarin Oriental’, whilst hotel guests are able to book any of the treatments.  A separate gymnasium is also available where guests are able to make use of the latest state-of-the-art cardio vascular equipment between 6.30am and midnight.

The Signature English Rose Treatment (1hr 50mins, GBP 210) incorporates Aromatherapy Associates’ famed Rose Range and includes a rose infused warm poultice massage to help release stress and tension, coupled with a rose based facial and body wrap to leave skin wonderfully radiant and hydrated and the body delicately scented.
