Mandarin Oriental, Manila is a deluxe hotel operated by the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, which owns and operates some of the world's finest and internationally awarded deluxe and first class hotels and resorts. Mandarin Oriental, Manila’s commitment to deliver consistent and distinctive personal service has helped gain for the hotel international recognition. Established in September 1976, it is 96% owned and managed by Manila Mandarin Inc. and is considered the country's premier businessman's hotel.

Location
It is located in a quiet address in the heart of the business district of Makati City, close to the head offices of international business giants, various embassies, banks, airlines and major multinational firms. The Ayala Center, which boasts modern shopping malls, is within five to ten minutes' walking distance. The Rockwell Center, and the Fort Bonifacio Global City, which are two of the newest lifestyle centers in the metropolis, are three and five kilometres away, respectively. The Ninoy Aquino International Airport is about ten kilometres away from the hotel.

Guestrooms
Mandarin Oriental’s rooms and suites feature a residential feel. The guestrooms exude soft welcoming hues and the suites proffer a spacious feel of contemporary chic. Each of the hotel’s 442 guestrooms and suites offers efficiency and elegance with easy operation soft-touch bedside controls for mood lights, television and music channels, built-in safe and a ving card door lock system. In-room amenities include coffee and tea-making facility.

Additional amenities are offered to guests of Mandarin Oriental Club.   

Each guestroom is equipped with two telephone lines with IDD and NDD facilities. The second line enables guests to install a fax machine or a dial-up connection. All suites are equipped with a facsimile machine.

Business Rooms
Corporate or leisure travelers will delight in Mandarin Oriental’s elegant Business Rooms which are designed to provide the ultimate in comfort and luxury, and the high levels of personalised service by well-trained staff.  With 126 rooms located on the fourth to the seventh floors, the well-designed Business Rooms boast of customised furnishings that include a spacious working desk with an array of multi-function communications equipment that combines a fax, copier, scanner, and printer with media card reader for SecureDigital, Memory Stick, SmartMedia, xD-Picture Card, and CompactFlash (Type 1).

Mandarin Oriental Club
The Mandarin Oriental Club offers a superior range of service and facilities. Comprising the 15th to the 18th floors, it focuses around an exclusive and private lounge on the 17th floor where guests enjoy complimentary breakfast, all-day refreshments, and evening cocktails. Three boardrooms are available for free for the first two hours to Club residents who also enjoy other amenities such as complimentary pressing of one suit/dress per day, as well as a dedicated concierge service to name some of the Club benefits. A separate smoking lounge is also available.

Business Services
The Business Centre consists of a meeting room that seats up to six persons, and four work stations. Besides secretarial services and Internet access, Japanese computer software programmes, a message centre, mobile phone rentals are also offered.

Video conferencing can be arranged on request. The Business Centre is on the fourth floor, adjacent to the Conference Centre that consists of a spacious lounge and nine function rooms.

For business travelers to whom global news and communication is of utmost importance, the Hotel’s high-speed broadband and wireless Internet access is available in guestrooms, and wireless in function rooms, the Club lounge, the Business Centre, the Captain’s Bar, Paseo Uno, Mandarin Deli, Tin Hau and The Tivoli. Besides fast downloads, this technology delivers data, voice and video simultaneously. The high performance of Mandarin Oriental’s connectivity promotes interactive meetings and other high-technology meeting requirements.

Meeting and Catering Facilities
For private and business functions, conferences and meetings, Mandarin Oriental offers a total of 15 function rooms, including the ballroom, which accommodates up to 1,000 guests for cocktails. Most types of functions can be custom planned and a selection of refreshingly contemporary and innovative menus by award-winning chefs is offered, including Chinese banquets. The hotel also offers outside catering services.

Restaurants and Bars
Mandarin Oriental, Manila's restaurants are renowned for their fine cuisines and exemplary service: Paseo Uno, popular for its dazzling interiors and superb buffets featuring Asian and International specialities prepared a la minute in open kitchens, The Tivoli for contemporary continental cuisine in a casually elegant setting, and the Tin Hau Chinese restaurant, with an ambience reminiscent of an elegant Chinese home, and renowned for its regional specialities and frequent food promotions. Martinis, the city’s most exciting smoking bar where the hottest local jazz acts take centre stage, features a wide selection of martinis, cocktails, premium spirits, and bar tidbits. Captain's Bar, meanwhile, is a perfect meeting place for talking shop during the day, and wonderfully transforms into a concert lounge on many weekend nights. Alternatively, it serves as a favourite banquet venue  birthdays, anniversaries, cocktails, and other social functions.

The Mandarin Deli is popular for fresh breads, pastries, cakes, light and quick meals. Kipling’s, a cigar and malt whisky bar operated by a concessionaire, offers an extensive international selection of single malt whisky for cigar lovers in a chic and well-appointed lounge.

Spa
The Thai-themed interiors and spa rooms of The Spa at Mandarin Oriental, Manila, a two-level luxury spa located at the hotel’s topmost floors, offers a menu of lavish body treatments and gentle pampering through personalised journeys booked in blocks of time called Time Rituals. Of four stunning private rooms evoking the warmth and serenity of traditional Thai ambience, two are specially designed for couples. An Oriental garden, therapeutic lighting and gentle music complete the soothing ambience. The Spa at Mandarin Oriental, Manila is open from 9 am to11 pm daily. The Spa also provides services for Swedish, Aromatherapy, and Deep-tissue massage for in-house guests, in the comfort of their rooms. In-room massages are also available.

Other facilities
The Health Club, which is open 24 hours, features a well-equipped gym and sauna. The use of the hotel's Health Club facilities is complimentary to house guests.

For shopping convenience, the Lobby Shop offers an exquisite selection of gifts, souvenirs and publications. Also available are rare antiques and furnishings at the EastWest Arts & Crafts, Asian novelties at the Yin and Yang Shop of Harmony, and high-end silver jewelry at Michelis.

Should guests wish to explore the nearby Makati city malls for shopping, a daily complimentary shuttle service is available from 10 am up 11 pm. The route begins at the hotel, and guests are dropped off in designated areas and times in Rockwell Centre, Glorietta 4 and Greenbelt 3. 

Other facilities offered are limousine service, medical and dental clinic, travel and tour desk, flower shop, and a beauty salon/barber shop.

Facilities for disabled guests include two guestrooms with custom made amenities and facilities, and a unisex restroom on the second and fourth floors.

Awards
Mandarin Oriental, Manila is a five-time recipient of the “Best Business Hotel in the Philippines” award presented by Business Asia. On the local front, it is the first and thus far the only hotel elevated by the Philippine Department of Tourism to the Hall of Fame in its “Kalakbay Awards” for having been named “Hotel of the Year” three times.
