Guest Rooms & Suites

Following the 2007 renovation of all 48 guest rooms and 25 suites and an upgrade of the exterior facade, Mandarin Oriental, Munich has re-established itself once again as the leading luxury hotel in the city.

Highlights of the refurbishment include the elegant, contemporary design using the finest woods and rich fabrics with signature Mandarin Oriental touches of Asian style. The soothing guestroom colours are predominantly beige, smoky blue and light salmon pink. King-size beds with down comforters, crisp linens and cotton chintz bedspreads ensure guest comfort, while bespoke furniture and carpets, and original artwork and Neo-Classic prints add to the hotel’s elegant residential feel. All guest rooms feature sleek cherry wood furniture in neo-Biedermeier style, with subtle Asian influences reflecting the Oriental heritage of the luxury hotel group.

High-ceilinged guest bathrooms of pale salmon Estramoz marble, imported from Portugal, are the epitome of Old World elegance. Vanity tops and carved mirror frames of pewter Breccia Nouvelle marble provide striking colour contrasts to the pale-hued walls. All bathrooms are equipped with separate bathtub and shower, toilet and bidet, heated floors, a flat television screen, and exclusive bath products. Guests enjoy the luxury of Porthault linens, extra-thick towels and plush Egyptian cotton bathrobes.

The luxurious Presidential (120 m²), Oriental (70 m²) and Grand Mandarin Suite (325 m²) benefit from new conservatories, created by incorporating the original patios, affording an airy, light-flooded atmosphere and unique views of the cityscape and landmarks. Each suite also contains a variety of striking Asian objects d’art.

In addition, state-of-the-art entertainment such as Bang & Olufsen flatscreen televisions with over 300 channels, as well as seamless customer-centric technology systems, a hallmark of Mandarin Oriental hotels worldwide, is available throughout.
