Hong Kong, 14 September 2009 – Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group has announced the appointment of Greg Liddell as General Manager of Mandarin Oriental Dhara Dhevi, Chiang Mai. Mr Liddell succeeds Mark Bradford, who recently moved to Manila to take up his new position as General Manager of Mandarin Oriental, Manila.
Mr Liddell, an Australian, has more than 14 years of senior management experience in the hotel industry. He previously worked with Aman Resorts, including two years as General Manager of Amanpulo in The Philippines. Mr Liddell joins the Group from Karma Resorts where he has spent the past four years as Group General Manager of their properties in Bali, Indonesia and Koh Samui, Thailand.
Commenting on the appointment, Andrew Hirst, Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group’s Operations Director, Asia said, “Greg brings with him many years of international resort management experience, and we are delighted to welcome him to his new position as General Manager of our luxury Thai retreat.”
