Hong Kong, 31 July 2009 - Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok is delighted to announce that it has been voted “Best City Hotel in Asia” and “Top 20 Hotels Worldwide” in Travel + Leisure Magazine’s annual World Best Awards 2009.
In Travel + Leisure’s 14th annual poll, readers are asked to rate the best hotels, spas, airlines, outfitters, cities and islands www.travelandleisure.com/worldsbest/2009.
This latest accolade follows a complete renovation of the hotel’s 393 rooms and suites in the River Wing building of the property. All accommodation has been tastefully redesigned in a classic contemporary style by the renowned design firm Lim, Teo and Wilkes (LTW) combining modern facilities with the Group’s oriental heritage and Thai culture. Exceptional quality standards comprise state of the art guest centric in-room technology which includes PC and iPod connectivity, LCD televisions and a complete in room surround sound audio system.
