Hong Kong, 19 August 2009 – Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London is delighted to announce an exciting collaboration with leading fragrance brand Jo Malone to offer a bespoke afternoon tea available exclusively at the hotel’s The Park Restaurant and Terrace throughout September.
In celebration of Vanilla & Anise Cologne, the latest fragrance from the World of Jo Malone™, Graham Horningold, Chef Patissier at Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, has created a menu guaranteed to tantalize the taste buds of Afternoon Tea and scent enthusiasts alike.
A warm and unexpected fragrance combining vanilla orchid blossoms and wild flowers found in the valleys of Madagascar, Chef Hornigold has been inspired by the subtle flavours of Vanilla, Star Anise, Frangipani, Madagascar Clove and White Amber to create delicacies such as Honey and Vanilla Glazed Madeleines, Clementine and Vanilla Fairy Cakes, Black Fig with Wildflower Honey and Mascarpone Mousse and Wild Fennel Scented Apple Tartelettes that complement the existing dainty sandwiches and freshly baked scones served with Devonshire clotted cream and preserves.
While guests enjoy their afternoon, complimentary samples of Vanilla & Anise Cologne and Grapefruit Shower Gel, accompanied by details of the unique ingredients woven into the menu, will be gifted at each table setting, nestled within Jo Malone signature black and cream livery. In addition, each guest will also receive an exclusive invitation to experience a complimentary Hand & Arm Massage at the Jo Malone Harrods boutique located minute away from the hotel.
The hotel’s collaboration with Jo Malone perfectly combines both brands’ philosophies of quality and luxury to promise the ultimate taste experience. This limited edition offer is available at Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park throughout the month of September only.
