Hong Kong, 20 July, 2009 – Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group has today confirmed that Mark Bradford will succeed Helmut Gaisberger as General Manager of Mandarin Oriental, Manila with effect from 1 September, 2009. Mr Bradford replaces Greg Liddell who has withdrawn from the position for personal reasons.

Mr Bradford has held senior management positions with Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group for the last eight years. He was most recently General Manager of the Group’s first luxury hideaway retreat, Mandarin Oriental Dhara Dhevi, Chiang Mai. Prior to this, Mr Bradford held the position of Hotel Manager at Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok. Commenting on the appointment, Andrew Hirst, Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group’s Operations Director – Asia said, “Mark brings with him many years of international luxury hotel management experience, and we are delighted to have him at the helm in Manila.”

Mr Gaisberger is retiring after 14 years as General Manager of Mandarin Oriental, Manila. An announcement on Mr Bradford’s successor at Mandarin Oriental Dhara Dhevi, Chiang Mai will be forthcoming.
