Private Cooking Lessons for Couples or Groups Available with Azul’s Star Chef Joel Huff

Hong Kong, 16 November 2011 – Azul, the signature restaurant at Mandarin Oriental, Miami, presents customized, private cooking classes for couples or groups with award-winning Chef Joel Huff, who recently appeared live on the Today Show cooking his signature dishes from Azul.  Guests will have an opportunity to book a private class with Chef Huff and enjoy a luxury weekend in Miami at the waterfront hotel. 

In each class, Chef Huff will share his cooking tips and prepare the ultimate gourmet lunch along with student chefs in the magnificent marble-clad open kitchen of Azul. A sumptuous three-course tasting menu is matched with flights of premium wines by sommelier Cynthia Betancourt.  Both an entertaining and learning experience, guests with a passion for food will create epicurean delights, discover new flavor techniques and learn the skills to craft and present beautiful plates.  Chef Huff will consult with guests prior to the class to determine their interest and the three-course lunch menu.

Student chefs will receive recipe cards and cooking notes for easy step-by-step reference plus a signature Azul apron. Group cooking classes are also available for any occasion including a birthday party, corporate event or bridal shower. Group classes are available for up to 15 people.

Classes will be held from 10am to 2pm on Saturdays and are based on availability. Individual classes are USD 575 for one or two people plus tax; for a three-hour culinary experience, pre-registration and payment is required.  Supplements will apply for group classes.
