Mandarin Oriental, Prague Introduces Merry Winter Packages

Hong Kong, 5 October 2009 – Prague is a magical city year round but never more so than during the winter holidays.  Dressed in festive lights, with charming cobbled streets and holiday music ring-ing through its churches and concert halls, the city becomes a fairy tale brought to life.  Mandarin Oriental, Prague’s generous winter packages and event-filled Advent calendar entice guests to dis-cover the golden city during the festive season.

Explore the season’s traditions with Mandarin Oriental, Prague’s luxurious Advent package. The package is available from 28 November to 28 December 2009 and offers guests mulled wine and hot toddies while they relax in luxury and enjoy a wonderful array of Christmas delicacies. A unique gingerbread Advent calendar that reveals a special gift for randomly selected in-house guests each day only adds to the excitement, and aromatic decorations and gingerbread decoration classes serve to make the fairy tale even more enchanting. 

Mandarin Oriental, Prague will also present its own lavish, private outdoor Christmas Market where guests can browse for hand-made seasonal crafts by local artisans and charitable organisa-tions.  A special “market bar” will serve complimentary hot beverages, mulled wine and warm-ing hot toddies to keep spirits merry.  Proceeds from Mandarin Oriental’s Christmas Market will be donated to a local charity.

Priced from EUR249 the Advent package includes:

One night luxury accommodation for one or two persons 
Daily full English breakfast in Essensia restaurant or in-room 
Special Advent amenities on arrival 
Four-course dinner for two persons at the hotel’s signature restaurant 
Complimentary stay for children 12 years and under

For true festive cheer, Mandarin Oriental, Prague also presents a Christmas package.  Valid from 22 December to 28 December, and priced from EUR249 the package includes: 

One night luxury accommodation for one or two persons 
Daily full English breakfast in Essensia restaurant or in-room 
Special Christmas amenities on arrival 
A choice of either a four-course Christmas Eve Dinner or festive Christmas Day Lunch for two 
Complimentary stay for children 12 years and under 
Special Christmas keepsake

Guests who simply wish to dine at the hotel over the Christmas period of 24 and 25 December can indulge in a festive Christmas Eve dinner and a Christmas Day lunch at the hotel’s signature Essensia restaurant for the following special prices per person:

~ Five-course Christmas Eve dinner menu, featuring oxtail and foie gras terrine or goose with Christmas stuffing – EUR88

~ Four-course Christmas Day lunch menu, featuring “fine de claire” oysters and delights such as roasted Christmas goose – EUR68

All prices are per person and do not include beverages. 

In addition to these culinary highlights is a special Christmas Afternoon Tea, which will be served daily in the hotel’s Monastery Lounge, a former Baroque cloister, to the background of festive Christmas music.

Both the Advent and Christmas package rates start at EUR249 and are subject to availability. Rates are based on double occupancy and a minimum stay of two consecutive nights, and are inclusive of service charge and tax.
