The Oriental Health Centre has an outdoor jogging track that runs right along the tennis courts, perfect for an early morning or evening run. Guests can also use the jogging map that we provide for a jaunt that goes further afield.
Perhaps nothing is more enticing after an excursion into the city heat than a dip in a pool. At the Oriental Health Club the prospect is doubly irresistible. Those who just want to bask in the sun and relax will love our new wading pool, which is surrounded by cabanas. Our newly upgraded big pool finished in rich mosaics and natural stones as well as new lighting enhancements, 25 metres long and is ideal for swimming laps. Both pools are open daily from 6am to 8pm.
Muay Thai, as Thai boxing is known here, is growing in popularity around the world and is considered an especially tough martial art. Boxers can use almost any part of their bodies in the contest, which can be quick and brutal. The main venue for matches is Lumpini Stadium. Fights are every Tuesday and Friday 6:30pm to11pm and Saturdays 5pm-8pm and 8:30pm to midnight. Prices range from THB 220-800. Private Thai Boxing lessons can also be arranged with at least one-day prior notice via our concierge. Prices are approximately USD 160 for 2 hours.
Located in the heart of Bangkok, this is the oldest and largest park in the city. Besides being home to beautiful grounds and lakes, impressive statues, and a Chinese pavilion, it is also the perfect place for jogging, walking, and bicycling. There are many early-morning tai chi, yoga and Thai boxing groups in session here as well. In the evening there are free aerobics lessons.

Ice Skating in Bangkok is a great way to relax from the heat! The newest skating rink in town is the Sub Zero Skate Club at the newly opened Esplanade shopping complex, easily accessible by MRT (Thailand Cultural Centre Station). The rink is open from 11am-12am and skaters can enjoy 4 hour sessions each at different rates from THB 200 - 300 per session (adults) and THB 150 - 250 (children). Whether you’re a true-blue ornithologist or a nature lover of any bent, this unusual activity is fascinating. The Bangchak Birdwatching Club organizes trips to an old oil refinery, which is now home to thousands of rare birds. Interested parties can learn about the birds, their habits, and habitat by joining a half-day course or by venturing on their own. Our concierge will be happy to provide more information.
