Situated behind high walls, this magnificent complex features six private Lanna-style pavilions with three king-sized beds and three twin bedrooms as well as numerous sitting and dining rooms, open-air salas, and a private lounge with grand piano and bar. Connected by walkways, each pavilion is unique in design, inspired by a mix of northern Thai and Royal Lanna architecture. All feature high ceilings, handcrafted details, sumptuous silks, plush furnishings and a selection of rare antiques. Colour schemes vary from one pavilion to the next, ranging from rich red and gold to cream, pink, and silver. In addition to its individual sleeping pavilions, the Royal Residence boasts three luxurious swimming pools, private Jacuzzis and saunas, all set right on the edge of the compound’s own free-form lotus pond and surrounded by towering rain trees, fragrant frangipanis and a wall of life-sized elephant sculptures drawn from Chiang Mai’s oldest temple, Wat Chiang Man.
