In Thailand children are much adored, our younger fans will find themselves warmly welcomed at our resort. They will also discover our imaginative Lanna Kids Club and the many special programmes devised to help our younger fans explore the culture of Northern Thailand whilst having terrific fun.

At the hotel

Our Lanna Kids Club encourages our young explorers to discover the culture of Northern Thailand but even before you arrive we are preparing special services for your children. Kindly provide us with the names and ages of the children in your party so that we can organize the following:

  • Personalised welcome cookie
  • Complimentary baby toiletries
  • Baby cot and/or rollaway bed at no extra charge, for child under 12 years (available upon request)
  • Complimentary use of baby equipments, including diaper, milk bottles and bottle warmer (available upon request)
  • Customized activities planned by Lanna Kids Club or the Concierge

Baby-sitting services

Our Housekeeper will gladly make arrangements for you, to avoid disappointment 24 hours advance notice is required.

One babysitter is for two children only, and can be arranged at THB 400 with 5% surcharge per hour during the day. After 9:00pm, there will be an additional transportation charge at THB 200.

Jum Sri Hall Library

A variety of children's books, toys, local games and children's movies are available at the library next to the entrance to Kad Dhara Shopping Village.

Children's Yoga

Fun and fitness, these animated poses and basic stretching exercises promote strength and body awareness. Breathing and visualisation techniques teach kids how to focus, relax and develop self-control. This is a highly creative session.

Lanna Kids Club and Programmes

We offer a highly stimulating kids club where we encourage our young fans to become young explorers, discovering Thai culture through entertaining activities and five day programmes.

Elephant Camps

Additional Tools

There are only 3,000 to 4,000 elephants remaining in Thailand. Visiting a camp you can enjoy these majestic creatures and the skill of their mahouts. It is also possible to take a trek and elephant ride to a hill tribe.

Doi Inthanon National Park

This beautiful national park is named after Doi Inthanon, which is the highest mountain in Thailand and the source of many rivers. The park is renowned for its flora and fauna and the famous 8 tiered Mae Ya waterfall most magnificent May through to November.

Rafting

Children over 12 years old, (who must be able to swim) enjoy the rafting and also kayaking on the Mae Taeng river. From July to March water tumbles off the mountainside creating a natural playground. Day trips or overnight stays can be arranged with several hours of rafting include nighttime runs.

Chiang Mai Zoo

This is a very attractive zoo, set on a hillside amidst lush greenery, with numerous open enclosures. It is quite a walk between animals so this could make an all day visit. The star attraction is currently a pair of pandas loaned from China.
