Climate
Situated just 374 metres above sea level means Geneva is blessed with a temperate continental climate. The surrounding mountains create a variety of local and regional microclimates. Winds from the West bring warmth, while the famous North Wind (the Bise) brings colder temperatures, though often sunny conditions.
Weather conditions can change suddenly and variations are common throughout a single day. Temperatures are typically around 20-25ºC in the summer and 2-6ºC in winter; spring and autumn offer temperatures in the region of 7-124ºC.
