At Tennis Eaux-Vives there are 22 outdoor courts available for our guests to enjoy, with indoor courts available at Champel. All courts are available for night play during the week and are located 3 km from the hotel. Please contact our Concierge for further details and bookings.
We recommend two different circuits for those guests who prefer jogging outdoors. The first is the scenic route that runs alongside Lake Geneva, with its dramatic mountain backdrop, and begins from the front of the hotel. The second circuit is the beautiful path that leads through the woods and along the River Rhône, just five minutes from the hotel. Please ask our staff for any assistance with routes you require during your stay.
What would a winter trip to Geneva be without skiing? The city’s ideal location in the centre of Europe, means that an Alpine adventure, complete with picnic lunch, is easily arranged. The region’s top resorts, including Val d’Isère, Chamonix and Gstaad, are all accessible by road or rail within ninety minutes of our hotel. With the River Rhône on the hotel’s doorstep, water enthusiasts can choose from a wealth of activities. The 8 km River Arve is comprised of six waterfalls and several areas of rapids and guests can spend up to three hours enjoying this exhilarating watersport, whether a beginner or a professional. Guides are available to help guests and all activities can be arranged from the hotel. Fees start at CHF 75 for adults and CHF 50 for children under the age of 18.
The region has much to offer in terms of scenic countryside, with vineyards and the Jura Mountains providing a beautiful backdrop for the keen cyclist. The urban landscape boasts a large network of cycling lanes. Those pedalling further afield will find themselves amidst the forests, fields and brooks in a short period of time. Cycle rental from CHF 10 to CHF 25 per day can be arranged at the hotel.
For the more adventurous guests, extreme sports are available including paragliding, bungee jumping and climbing. There are numerous paragliding take-off sites making it possible to fly regardless of wind direction. The Concierge can arrange a day of paragliding and tandem flights with local professional pilots are also possible. Fees start at CHF 200 per person.
When weather conditions permit, hot air balloons take off from Château d’Oex to give guests unparalleled 360º views of the area. It’s often possible to admire the Alps from Mont Blanc to the Eiger, taking in the Matterhorn and the whole Lake Geneva region. Our Concierge can arrange an unforgettable flight for you at a cost of CHF 350 for adults and CHF 175 for children.
Many locals use the lake for exercise, and a good beach is only 2 km from the hotel, which can be reached by car within 10 minutes. Public swimming facilities are also available in Geneva at a variety of indoor and outdoor locations. The Concierge will be happy to help you find a swimming baths to suit your needs.
