A vision of contemporary luxury, Pierre’s décor incorporates luxurious fabrics in a mixture of charcoal, cherry, blue and black highlighted with silver and crystal. Floor-to-ceiling windows offer views over Victoria Harbour while the central chandelier changes colour to suit the mood. Atmospheric, dramatic and very chic, it’s the perfect setting in which to enjoy phenomenal cuisine.
Pierre Gagnaire, who visits the restaurant three times a year, is a wizard of innovative French gastronomy, and one of the most original and artistic chefs in the world today. Although his food is often described as ‘modern French’, his style is deeply rooted in the French cooking tradition which results in dishes that are exquisitely presented while being both easy to understand and unpretentious.

Jean Denis joined Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong in 2013, where he and his team successfully managed to secure Pierre its second Michelin-star in 2014.
With over 15 years’ experience in leading restaurants around the world, the past seven of which have been with Pierre Gagnaire, Chef Jean Denis was the perfect choice to lead Pierre’s culinary team.
At just 37 years old, Jean Denis has already obtained an impressive amount of experience. This includes taking Pierre from being a one-Michelin-star restaurant to a two-Michelin-star in 2014. This is not the first time that Jean Denis has managed to secure such a feat. Before moving to Hong Kong, Jean Denis and his team in London secured a second Michelin star and five AA Rosettes for Pierre Gagnaire’s Lecture Room and Library restaurant at Sketch. Prior to this, Jean Denis was head chef at Francois Plantation, Pierre Gagnaire’s celebrated restaurant in St Barts.
