Sparkling Wedding Fair

A Sparkling Wedding Fair will be held on 18 February within the lavish Connaught Rooms to showcase the hotel’s wedding offerings from cake creations to Michelin star dining.  Enjoy fashion shows with dresses by Oscar de la Renta and Carolina Herrera, bridal make-up and hairstyling demonstration, and gain advice from wedding consultant.  Guests will also have the chance to win a host of prizes.

ART menu in the Michelin-starred Mandarin Grill + Bar

Uwe Opocensky will be offering guests of the Michelin-starred Mandarin Grill + Bar a special Art inspired lunch and dinner menu, which will include tickets to ART HK.  Guests will be amazed as they watch the artistic dishes names Sculpture, Graffiti, Photography, Painting and Music unfold in-front of them.

ART exhibition in the Clipper Lounge

Clipper Lounge will become home to an outstanding art collection by Tang Kwok Hin, in conjunction with Amelia Johnson Contemporary.  Aged just 28, Hin has already been awarded numerous local and international accolades.  His show ‘I call you Nancy’ will be inspired by Hong Kong and his fictitious sister, Nancy, which is poignant due to China’s one child policy.

ART cocktails in the M bar

Available between 1 and 20 May

M bar will offer a series art-inspired cocktails. Future will highlight their molecular skills with a whisky sour hot & freezing, while Asia One will be made from vodka, yuzu, lychee, lime and pomegranate and Art will be created using Champagne, vodka, raspberry, peach and lemon.  Guests enjoying a bottle of Veuve Clicquot in the M bar and Captain’s Bar will receive two tickets to ART HK. View more about the M bar here.

Asia Top Gallery Hotel Art Fair

Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong will once again become home to the AHAF from the 24 to 26 February.  Featuring more than 3,000 works of contemporary art, from 65 premier galleries throughout Asia, guests will be able to admire each of these pieces set out in many of this iconic hotel’s guest rooms and suites throughout the three days.

John Lobb Shoe-Shine Chair

From 31 January, guests can enjoy a John Lobb shoe-shine, by a dedicated Shoe-Shine Butler, whilst ‘polishing’ up on the day’s news with the latest newspapers and magazines and a cup of coffee or chilled drink. Priced at HKD 150, the 15 minute service will be offered between 8am–9am, 12pm–2pm and 6pm–8pm. Monday to Friday, and is available to both hotel guests and visitors.

Corton in New York comes to Mandarin Grill + Bar

Paul Liebrandt, one of America’s acclaimed chefs from the two-Michelin starred Corton in New York, will be cooking his winning blend of contemporary French modern cuisine in the Mandarin Grill from 29 – 31 March. Paul will re-create his famous signature dishes within a six-course Tasting Lunch menu at HKD 1,888 and an eight-course Tasting Dinner menu at HKD 2,688. Guests can meet and greet the chef.

Château de Beaucastel Wine Dinner in Man Wah

Pierre Perrin, son of the owner of Château de Beaucastel, will be hosting an exclusive Wine Dinner on 16 March in the Michelin-starred Man Wah. This special event will give guests a chance to indulge in a tailor-made six-course Cantonese menu, which will be paired with specially selected Château de Beaucastel wines from 2001 to 2009, including top cuvee “Hommage a Jacques Perrin”.

Mandarin Oriental Signature Cocktails in the M bar

Throughout the year the M bar will showcase two signature cocktails each month, from two Mandarin Oriental hotels around the world.  During January guests can enjoy ‘Memories’ from Mandarin Oriental, Geneva and ‘The Nihonbashi’ from Mandarin Oriental, Tokyo. Throughout January, guests can also make suggestions for signature cocktails that they would like to see on the menu.

Michelin Stars at Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong

Celebrations are underway as at the recent Hong Kong Macau 2012 Michelin Awards ceremony, Man Wah the hotel’s Cantonese restaurant received its first Michelin star, whilst Pierre restaurant retained its second Michelin star and Mandarin Grill + Bar also retained its star, making Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong the only hotel in Hong Kong to now boast three Michelin-starred restaurants.

The Captain’s Bar is delighted to introduce a new curry lunch menu from 19 September.  Nine different options will be provided in two-tier or three-tier Tiffin tins, with prices starting at HKD 118.  Highlights include Chicken Tikka Makhni, Tandoori Prawns and Lamb Samosas, which guests can enjoy with a Gunner, a lassi or a draught beer served in the bar’s famed silver tankards.
