Bangkok is generally hot and tropical, with daytime temperatures reaching into the mid-30s Celsius (low-90s Farenheit). First-time visitors are likely to find it hot and humid. Pack light clothes made from natural fabrics and bring sunscreen. The coolest and driest weather occurs from October to March and is considered the best time to visit the city. The hottest season occurs during April and May, when temperatures can reach into the high-30s Celsius (90-100° Farenheit), and gives way to the rainy season, which lasts from June to October.
