The Brooklyn Botanic Garden - 30 Minutes/9 Miles or 14 Km
The Brooklyn Botanic Garden has over 12,000 different varieties of plants in a beautiful setting. They also have the largest collection of dwarf potted trees in the United States. Adults are just USD 5 and children under 16 are free.
Chelsea Piers - 12 Minutes/3 Miles or 5 Km
Chelsea Piers is NYC’s favorite place to play for people of all ages. It features activities for everyone: skating rinks, basketball courts, gymnastics, indoor soccer fields, batting cages, in-line skating, a health club, rock climbing wall and 40 lanes of bowling. Costs USD 25 per person.
Meat Packing District - 12 Minutes/3 Miles or 5 Km Absolutely the latest area to draw the hip and stylish crowd. During the day this area still retains its blue collar edge which gives it its name yet at night famously popular restaurants draw the gliterati.
Central Park - 1 Minute/Less than 1 Mile or 1.6 Km Central Park is a wonderful escape from the hustle and bustle of New York City. Stroll through one of the many beautiful international gardens, row boats on the pond or go skating at the Wollman Rink. The Central Park Wildlife Center is one of the highlights of the park.
Jazz at Lincoln Center - 1 Minute/Less than 1 Mile or 1.6 Km Enjoy an evening of music at Jazz at Lincoln Center, located within the Time Warner Center building, just an elevator ride from the hotel. Please contact our Concierge for schedules and ticket information.

Helicopter Tour - 25 Minutes/ 6 Miles or 10 Km See Manhattan from the sky with an exciting helicopter tour. Fly over the Statue of Liberty, the George Washington Bridge or Yankee Stadium. As flight times vary please contact our Concierge for reservations.
Things to See
Empire State Building - 12 Minutes/3 Miles or 5 Km Take a trip to the top of the Empire State Building located at 5th Avenue between 33rd and 34th Streets. The observation deck on the 86th floor is open daily. Go early to avoid the crowds.
Metropolitan Museum of Art - 6 Minutes/2 Miles or 3.5 Km Located at 5th Avenue and 82nd Street for an extremely comprehensive collection of art and artifacts. Through May to October enjoy drinks on the roof surrounded by 20th century sculptures.
Guggenheim Museum - 12 Minutes/3 Miles or 5 Km The Guggenheim Museum located at 5th Avenue and 89th Street was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and the building itself is an impressive sight. It houses contemporary art and avant-garde exhibits.
The Frick Collection - 6 Minutes/2 Miles or 3.5 Km The Frick Collection at 70th Street and 5th Avenue is housed in a beautiful mansion built for industrialist Henry Clay Frick in 1913. It includes many wonderful furnishings and paintings by the Old Masters.
MoMA - 6 Minutes/2 Miles or 3.5 Km The Museum of Modern Art has reopened after a two and a half year renovation. It holds one of the most comprehensive collections of twentieth-century art in the world.
The Statue of Liberty - 25 Minutes/8 Miles or 12 Km The Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island Ferries are located at Battery Park. Take the ferry over to the Statue of Liberty for a fabulous water view. See Ellis Island where 17 million immigrants entered between 1862 to 1954.
United Nations - 12 Minutes/3 Miles or 5 Km The United Nations at First Avenue and 46th Street has multilingual tours daily to the General Assembly, although you can visit the foyer and basement without a tour. Please contact our Concierge for tour times and reservations.

Fifth Avenue - 6 Minutes/2 Miles or 3.5 Km 5th Avenue is the place to see all the latest styles. Shop at Bergdorf Goodman, Cartier, Tiffany, or
Saks 5th Avenue. Step into St Patrick’s Cathedral or wander through Rockefeller Center to take a break from shopping.
Madison Avenue - 6 Minutes/2 Miles or 3.5 Km Another high class street, from 57th to 79th it is a parade of brand names from YSL, Versace, Armani and Donna Karan plus Barneys New York department store.
SoHo - 12 Minutes/3 Miles or 5 Km
Spend the day strolling through SoHo, a district occupied by artists who preserved its elegant wrought iron architecture and initiated the fashion for loft living. Browse through the numerous trend setting boutiques and incredible art in its many galleries.
Meat Packing District - 12 Minutes/3 Miles or 5 Km Jeffrey, the chic neat department store, has led the fashion stream into this otherwise industrial area. Posh Jeffrey caters to the Barney’s crowd in a more intimate style.
