Hong Kong’s weather varies very much from season to season; this brief guide will help you pack the right clothes.

Climate

Hong Kong’s climate is subject to monsoons and occasionally even has typhoons. In the wintertime between January to March it can get quite cold but is generally mild and predominantly dry. It is humid and rainy from spring through to summer; the hottest month is July with an average temperature of 28 degrees. The finest time to visit is in Autumn when it is warm enough to swim, hardly rains and the humidity is low.

As restaurants and bars are extremely well air conditioned, whatever weather you are anticipating, be sure to bring something to allow for cool interiors even if it is warm outside.
