Red London buses are easily recognisable and cover most parts of the city. The destinations are indicated on the maps and tables at the bus stops. For specific destinations please ask our concierge to advise the bus number and location of the stop. It is no longer possible to board a bus without a ticket. These can be purchased from machines at the bus stop, alternatively a carnet/book of tickets can be purchased in most newsagents. If you feel you will be travelling frequently on tube and bus, it is worth buying an Oyster Card with a pre-paid credit, which you can swipe on entering the bus or underground.
A comprehensive line network covers all of London. Maps of the underground are available in tube stations or from the concierge and are easy to follow. London is divided into zones for the purpose of bus and rail fares. Zone 1 is Central London. The hotel is situated in Zone 1. The further out of London the more a ticket will cost and the greater the zone number.
