Climate

With its position in the Tropic of Cancer, Macau is in the monsoon region and its climate is considered mild and rainy in summer with the most comfortable period beginning in the middle of October and running through to November. Winter starts late December to early January and temperatures can drop below 10°C, with the average being 15°C. May to September is often the time of thunderstorms and heavy rain, while the temperatures are often quite high, averaging about 28°C.
