The Spa At Elbow Beach, Bermuda Introduces New Suite Experiences And Reflexology Foot Treatments

Hong Kong, 21 May 2012 – The Spa at Elbow Beach, a Mandarin Oriental Spa, is delighted to introduce two new Suite Experiences and three new Reflexology Foot Treatments to its menu of holistic therapies.

The Bermuda Shores Suite Experience invites guests to enjoy over 3 hours of treatment time in their own private spa suite for the ultimate in pampering and relaxation.  Spa-goers are welcomed with a cleansing foot ritual followed by a full body Invigorating Salt Scrub from ESPA, which uses natural sea salts to gently sweep away dull cells and nourishing sweet almond oil to hydrate the skin. This is followed by a Hibiscus Aromatherapy Bath surrounded by candles and floating hibiscus petals. The treatment is completed with a Customised Holistic Facial and a tantalising foot massage. The treatment is priced at USD 420.

The Oriental Suite Experience allows guests to indulge in Mandarin Oriental’s signature treatments and products, featuring the Group’s custom-blended Quintessence oil infused with ginger, sacred frankincense and muscle-warming mandarin essence. The journey begins with a welcoming foot ritual after which guests will luxuriate in an aromatic bath while sipping on a cooling beverage. The Quintessence scrub follows to gently smooth and rejuvenate the skin. The treatment is completed with a full body Oriental Essence Massage which centres on all stress areas of the body helping to realign the mind and emotions. This treatment is 2 hours and 20 minutes and is priced at USD 300.

The Spa at Elbow Beach is also launching three Foot Treatments, all of which begin with a cleansing foot ritual and incorporate the natural healing art of reflexology.

“Reflexology has a very long list of health benefits including; stress reduction, improved concentration and sleep patterns, mind calming and an increase in positive thinking, just to name a few,” says Nyland Adams, Spa Manager. “We are therefore delighted to be able to offer guests a new line of Foot Treatments.”

The Detoxifying foot treatment uses salts infused with soy bean, sweet almond, jojoba and coconut oil to cleanse the skin, followed by a white tea ginger scrub. An algae mask is then applied and the feet are wrapped in warm towels to help eliminate toxins. The Rejuvenating treatment uses salts infused with mango, pineapple and hibiscus, followed by the white tea ginger scrub. Feet are then engulfed in a white tea-ginger mask that aids in the immune function of skin cells, while the ginger helps add vitality and radiance to skin. Each foot treatment includes reflexology and is completed with a massaging application of vanilla cream to moisturize feet and legs. The Uplifting foot treatment has been created as a treatment add-on, and it includes the cleansing, reflexology and moisturizing massage. The Detoxifying and Rejuvenating foot treatments are 45 minutes and are priced at USD 120. The Uplifting foot treatment is 25 minutes and is priced at USD 80.
