Hong Kong, 21 July 2014 – This autumn, Da Rong He, an award-winning Sichuan restaurant in China, will excite every gastronome in Hong Kong by making its debut at the one-Michelin-starred Cantonese restaurant Man Wah at Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong. From 19 to 27 September 2014, Chef Wang Zheng Jing, co-founder and general manager of Da Rong He, will lead his esteemed team of six chefs, including head chef, Wang Ming, in presenting a series of signature dishes which will truly represent a new delicate take on Sichuan cuisine.
Sichuan cuisine is considered to be one of China’s greatest cuisines offering bold flavours that are particularly pungent and spicy. However, Da Rong He's determination to take taste buds to the next level of excitement by offering a perfect balance between authenticity and innovation, has won the iconic restaurant several prestigious culinary awards over the years in China. Founded in 1999 and with over 30 outlets in cities throughout China, it is well known for incorporating Sichuan's flavours with Huaiyang's cuisine presentation, Suhang's regional colours, and Guangdong province’s cooking techniques.
Guests can enjoy more than 25 different signature dishes on the à la carte menu and two special set menus. Set menus are priced at HKD698* per person for the eight-course lunch menu and HKD1,480* per person for the ten-course dinner menu. A few specialities highlighted will be "Tea Smoked Duck", "Pickled Bamboo Shoot, Baby Ginger, Kale, Walnut", "Steamed Fish Head with Red Chilli" and "Wok Fried Fresh Abalone and Bean Sprout".
