Hong Kong, 23 January 2014 – Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong and The Mandarin Spa have once again been awarded five stars in the prestigious Forbes Travel Guide, and for the first time ever, both Pierre and Mandarin Grill + Bar were also awarded five stars. This is the guide's highest accolade and makes Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong one of only three hotels in the world to offer five stars in four areas. With Man Wah also receiving four stars, Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong is now the only hotel boasting 24 Forbes Travel Guide stars.  A hotel’s five-star ranking denotes “one of the finest establishments in the world, delivering guests an experience beyond their expectations,” and that for a restaurant represents “a truly unique and distinctive dining experience that consistently provides exceptional food, superlative service and elegant décor’, whilst a five-star honour is awarded to spas that offer “an exceptional experience with no detail overlooked. These properties wow you with extraordinary design facilities, and uncompromising service”.
