Thai Massage Academy Courses
The foundation of Thai Massage will be taught in four basic positions: front, side, back and sitting. These techniques will allow you to perform a 1 ½ to 2hr treatment, and emphasis will be placed on creating personalized treatments for each client. The class will show how to use your own proper body mechanics to perform a variety of relaxation and stretching techniques.
The nature of Thai massage training makes it suitable for both the practitioner seeking to learn healing touch, and someone with no previous basic experience.
Your tutor, Ms. Jongrak Intatha, uses an Ancient Thai style of instruction that focuses on doing rather than speaking. She is a healing trainer, who brings the techniques used in The Old Medicine Hospital School of Chiang Mai, Thailand where she taught for several years.
Thai Massage workbooks are included in the training, and by the end of the course, each student will be sufficiently confident to perform a full Thai Massage.
We offer a choice of two courses, depending on your goals. The Practitioner Certificate is for those who wish to become proficient in the practical aspect of Thai Massage. While for those interested in studying the underlying principles, we offer the CEU Certificate.
Two separate schedules are offered at the Thai Massage School.
