Munich is the centre of Bavaria and has a view up towards The Alps. Between the months of May and August the temperatures can reach as high as 28ºC (82ºF), with an average of 26 ºC (79ºF); come winter, the temperatures drop to a low of minus 5 ºC (41ºF) with an average temperature of 0 ºC (32ºF).

The warmer summer weather generally begins in May with temperatures occasionally reaching up to 30 degrees centigrade. How long the summer lasts is the surprise element. The winter temperatures range from freezing to 15 degrees centigrade.
