Offering one of the finest dining experiences in the city, one-Michelin starred Restaurant Mark’s is one of Munich’s most celebrated restaurants.

Entered via a sweeping marble staircase leading up from the lobby, the elegant dining room enjoys an abundance of light provided by a combination of expansive windows and atmospheric lighting. With tables elegantly laid with white linen, the atmosphere is one of relaxed formality, suited to special occasions, business lunches and romantic dinners. In the evenings piano music drifts up from the lobby, creating a delightful ambience for our diners to enjoy.

Showcasing Executive Chef Simon Larese’s modern French cuisine, Restaurant Mark’s serves a menu of classic French dishes inspired by the delicious flavours of Asia. Using fresh, seasonal produce with ingredients brought in from Brittany and Normandy, the cuisine is sublime. We also boast a fantastic wine cellar housing over 300 exclusive vintages.

Fresh, seasonal and exquisitely French

Michelin-starred Restaurant Mark’s serves a wonderful menu of classic French dishes inspired by the flavours and traditions of the Mediterranean.

Our a la carte menu changes to match the season and uses only the finest and freshest ingredients. We also offer a monthly changing set menu with the choice of three or six courses, served with a selection of wines carefully chosen by our sommelier.

Our dining experience begins with an amuse bouche, while dinner concludes with handmade sweets presented with our compliments.

Simon Larese

Born in Hanover, Executive Chef Simon Larese has travelled the world to hone his skills in creating fine French cuisine. Having begun his career in Germany, where he trained in Hanover, he eventually moved to the three-Michelin starred Restaurant Schwarzwaldstube in Baiersbronn, in the heart of Germany’s Black Forest. From there he moved to another equally revered restaurant, the three-Michelin starred Residenz Heinz Winkler in Aschau.

Chef Larese joined the Mandarin Oriental group in 2004, heading to Bangkok to work as Fine Dining Chef at Le Normandie. He then headed to Chiang Mai, where he stayed for several years at Mandarin Oriental, Dhara Dhevi.

In February 2011, he returned to Germany, joining Mandarin Oriental, Munich as Executive Chef of Restaurant Mark’s.
