The soul of Mandarin Oriental, New York comes to life in the simplicity, elegance, balance and vitality of Asiate.
"...The best view of any restaurant in the city. The food is also spectacular." ~ The Daily Telegraph, 2006
Designed by renowned designer Tony Chi, the dramatic entrance to Asiate features a wall of wine which houses an impressive collection of over 1,300 bottles. But thereafter, the inspiration behind the restaurant is Central Park itself. The interior is dominated by a glittering tree-branch sculpture that hangs from the ceiling, a focal point almost as dramatic as the floor-to-ceiling views of the Park, visible through our 16 foot high windows.
The menu is an artistic and modern approach to Asian-inspired cuisine that reflects the harmony inherent in every aspect of the hotel. The menu changes as the seasons change in the park. Subtle yet sophisticated, they complement the restaurant’s atmosphere of balance and simplicity.
