Thierry Marx has invented a menu of simple dishes in tune with the busy times; his ethos is ‘45 minutes – 45 euros’, but guests may be persuaded to stay for longer and enjoy the great chef’s take on traditional French cuisine.

The restaurant is a light filled space, a continuation of the elegant camellia garden. The stone floor gradually gives way to wood adding to the sense of indoor, outdoor seamlessness. Walnut panels at the entrance are inlaid with butterflies, these delicate motifs and tiny lights add exquisite detailing.

In the summer months guests can reserve a table in the garden.

A la carte breakfast features some Japanese specialities.
