Menu

The inspired menu is the creation of our Executive Chef Jiří Štift, a professional determined to revive the Golden Era of Czech cuisine at today’s exacting gourmet standards. He likewise has selected dishes from Asia, preparing each to the same high level of culinary expertise.

Gourmet restaurants, delicatessens and cooking schools abounded in the capital. Prague’s well-stocked markets and shops provided myriad foods both local and imported. Chef Štift has immersed himself in the archives and culled the best from earlier cuisine ambassadors to create a menu certain to appeal to discerning modern palates.

Mandarin Oriental recommends Beer Styles Seminar
The best way to understand the world of beer is through the concept of "beer styles," which allows us to divide the diverse array of beers from around the world into a few basic groups and sub-groups. This tasting looks at the long tradition of Czech beer culture in terms of its distinct beer styles with a taste of eight great Czech beers, including new arrivals. The beer is complemented by an array of specialities prepared by the team at Essensia restaurant.

The seminar is prized at CZK 1,250.
