“Since the Mandarin Oriental, San Francisco is located in the third tallest commercial building in the City by the Bay, guests are sure to be getting a view—if the fog is gone. The day I went, the fog was obviously not there. And, I have to admit, I stayed in my room much longer to tour the city from my bed instead of from the streets.”

Sophie Gayot, Gayot.com , June 20, 2010

“San Franciscans are obsessed with views and the Mandarin Oriental indulges them: its 158 rooms occupy the 38th to 48th floors of a downtown tower… top-of-the-world views… everything in the hotel has been done up in warm reds and golds making the rooms feel like cozy aeries.”

“The bathroom at Mandarin Oriental, San Francisco is not to be missed. Guests can soak away the worries of the day while taking in sweeping views of the city and San Francisco Bay. For that extra indulgence, Mandarin Oriental offers a bath menu that provides a variety of pampering options to remedy any ailment.”

ABC News, May 17, 2010

“The sumptuous décor at Silks is inspired by Marco Polo and his discoveries along the Old Silk Road. The food is a blend of farm fresh ingredients with Pacific Rim influences. The Dungeness crab starter with a soy-ginger emulsion is an explosion of flavors. Go for the Business Lunch and savor the char grilled Mahi Mahi with garlic stir fried broccolini, basil whipped potatoes and a Thai yellow curry sauce. Pair with just the right wine and don't miss the passion fruit crème for dessert.”

Patty Burness, Real Travel Adventures International, May 15, 2010
