China’s southernmost city enjoys a tropical coastal monsoon climate. Temperatures in Sanya range from a low in January of 21°C (70°F) to a July high of 33°C (91°F). Happily, there is only partial rain in Sanya during the months of August and September when such nearby cities as Hong Kong and Taipei are prone to typhoons.
