Named after an ancient Chinese philosopher who expounded the principal of universal love, critically acclaimed Café MoZU, just off the main hotel lobby, is the hotel’s all day dining venue: an airy, sophisticated spot for a power breakfast, business lunch, or a relaxed dinner at sunset.

Designed by Tony Chi, the bright and airy room reflects Washington, DC’s international flair with an element of sophistication, and offers unparalleled views of the Washington Channel, Tidal Basin and to with menus that are simple and clean, yet bold and flavorful. Breakfast includes traditional American favorites as well as a Japanese breakfast.

Lunch and dinner menus showcase irresistible selections such as Roasted five spices Duck, raisin couscous, orange scented curry jus”, Crispy Wild Salmon with fingerling potatoes, Brussels sprouts and haricots verts, Braised Pork Belly with sweet potato puree, baby onions and goat cheese polenta and Black Sea Bass with bok choy, string beans, snow bean sprouts and aromatic lemongrass broth.

Sample the flavors of Asia with our Curry Lunch Monday-Friday from 11:30am-1:30pm. The buffet-style presentation offers a variety of rotating regional curries from Thailand, Malaysia, Japan and India, along with authentic condiments, an Asian bread basket and an sumptuous dessert. A special beverage menu featuring a variety of refreshing elixir drinks is available.

Heavenly desserts from our pastry department include Chocolate Devils Cake, Cappuccino Crème Brule, Tangerine Variety, Poached Pear in Pomegranate Juice, Macha Green Tea Cake, Pineapple Hot and Cold, a selection of ice creams and sorbets and cheese collection.
