Dine in style

For a truly special experience, our elegant semi-private dining room seats up to 22 guests. Known as The Wine Gallery, it is entered through an open doorway adjacent to the main restaurant and has a warm, cosy feel enhanced by soft atmospheric lighting. With one wall of the room fashioned from a floor-to-ceiling glass wine case containing highlights from our extensive cellar, it offers an exceptional entertaining space. To make your experience even more memorable, Chef Ziebold will custom design a pre-fixe menu to your tastes.

Eric Ziebold

Eric Ziebold’s affinity for cooking began as a child growing up in Iowa, when he used to watch his mother cook. Her simple approach and utilization of seasonal items is what continues to inspire Chef Ziebold today.

After graduating with the highest honors from the Culinary Institute of America, Ziebold came to Washington DC to work at the well-established Vidalia. Following this, he moved to Los Angeles as chef de partie at Spago Restaurant, before joining Thomas Keller at the famous The French Laundry. His relationship with Keller then took him to New York where he assisted in the creation of Per Se.

The success of this venture prepared Ziebold for his own turn at the helm and in 2004 he joined Mandarin Oriental, Washington DC as Executive Chef of CityZen. Here he has established his own unique style, combining his interpretation of American cuisine with classic French training.
