When building our hotel we were able to specify the qualities event planners value: natural light, terraces, views, privacy, direct loading access and branding opportunities. Our venues also offer originality and flexibility, allowing you the freedom to choose the event space that’s perfect for you.

The Grand Ballroom

Our 8,300-square-foot Grand Ballroom offers a distinctive and elegant environment with beautiful chandeliers and silver leaf coffers. There is simply not a bad seat in the house thanks to its near perfect square shape, lack of pillars and stunning 18-foot ceilings. In addition, we offer private access and private restrooms so that your event can be completely self-contained. The Ballroom offers the versatility of being able to be divided into smaller spaces and is also one of the only luxury spaces in Washington DC that can accommodate an automobile. It can seat up to 770 guests for a banquet and accommodate 900 guests for a drinks reception.

The Oriental Ballroom

With the same classic design as our Grand Ballroom, our Oriental Ballroom offers an equally elegant setting on a smaller scale. With an adjoining marble foyer and adjacent function room, it can accommodate up to 350 guests for a banquet and up to 600 for a drinks reception.

Meeting Rooms

These more intimate settings are ideal for smaller meetings, break out event spaces or temporary conference offices. We have seven rooms located on one level, including the Hillwood Room, which lies adjacent to the Oriental Ballroom and provides an excellent gathering space with natural light. Most of our meeting rooms are fully equipped with drop down screens, white boards and wireless Internet access.

Art Gallery

Our working art gallery offers a unique venue for small events. Equipped with a private elevator, self-contained rest rooms, a wall of windows, and a large flagstone patio overlooking the Jefferson Memorial, it hosts regular exhibitions of local talent.

Garden Level

On the Lobby Level, we have two charming Garden Rooms, which offer excellent natural light. Outdoors, guests can meander through the Zen Garden or to our expansive Event Lawn. This 4,000 square foot outdoor space overlooks the Washington Marina, Tidal Basin and Jefferson Memorial and offers a memorable setting from which to watch the sunset. Whether you are arranging a wedding ceremony, lively cocktail party or a game of croquet, the Event Lawn is an outdoor playground that no other Washington luxury hotel offers.
