Looking for some wedding inspiration? From spectacular ballrooms for 600 guests to intimate terraces with scintillating city views, Mandarin Oriental offers some of the most stylish places to wed around the world.

Tradition in Taipei

Couples are spoilt for choice when it comes to weddings at Mandarin Oriental, Taipei, the city's most tastefully extravagant hotel, which boasts two spectacular ballrooms and the more intimate Grand Salon for ceremonies. Six luxurious packages are available, all of which come with a wealth of extras, such as Jo Malone and La Prairie gifts and a guest signature book – or go bespoke and work with the hotel's wedding planners to create your own special day. Many newlyweds incorporate ancient Taiwanese customs into their big day, such as the bride wearing a red gown (a colour associated with good fortune), and choose a mouthwatering Chinese banquet for the wedding breakfast (steamed lobster with black garlic is always a crowd-pleaser). Best of all, the bride and groom get a complimentary one-night honeymoon.

Pampering in Prague

Situated in a former monastery with views of Prague Castle, Mandarin Oriental, Prague makes a magnificent wedding venue. Ceremonies take place alfresco in the enclosed garden, beneath cloisters in the Monastery Lounge, on the terrace of the presidential suite, or even the spa – housed in what was once the Renaissance chapel, so this isn't as odd as it sounds. If you don't want to go bespoke, there's a glamorous wedding package available, including rental of the ceremony and reception rooms, sparkling wine, a three-course dinner plus bubbly and strawberries in your room, as well as a 60-minute spa treatment for the newlyweds. Couples getting married at the hotel receive a complimentary honeymoon night in a luxury suite, too.

Majesty in Marrakech

You can say 'I do' with the snow-capped Atlas Mountains and 20-acre gardens planted with olive trees and 100,000 roses as your backdrop at Mandarin Oriental, Marrakech. Here, minimalist Eastern architecture blends beautifully with Moroccan art and Berber-influenced features, creating a unique setting for up to 600 guests in one of the three individual rooms, along with a beautiful terrace. The gardens are a covetable place to tie the knot from January through to December thanks to a year-round temperate climate and enticing extras – treat yourselves to a relaxing couples' hammam to de-stress post-wedding.

Perfection in Paris

Located on rue Saint-Honoré, steps from Place Vendôme, Mandarin Oriental, Paris is a dream venue choice for an ultra-chic wedding. Set around a romantic inner garden, which can be hired for exclusive use, there are four additional ceremony and reception spaces, which are ideal for an intimate wedding, and a spectacular sixth floor terrace. With two-Michelin-starred chef Thierry Marx overseeing the wedding menu, guests will be as keen to Instagram the food as they will the happy couple. Plus there's also an award-winning spa for pre-wedding pampering, not to mention famous landmarks, such as the Eiffel Tower and River Seine, to star as the scenic backdrop on wedding and honeymoon photos.
