Group Director of Quality & Rooms
Amanda Hyndman joined Mandarin Oriental in 2007 and is Group Director of Quality & Rooms, overseeing all aspects of the Group’s operational service standards as well as Rooms Division, including Front Office, Housekeeping and Guest Services. Amanda is based in Hong Kong and also holds the position Area Vice President, Operations overseeing the Landmark Mandarin Oriental, Macau, Guangzhou and Sanya hotels as well as being General Manager of Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong. Prior to this, she was Area Vice President, Operations for the hotels in Northern Europe and was General Manager at Mandarin Oriental properties in London, Bangkok, Washington D.C, and Hong Kong.
Her career spans over 30 years in the industry, having previously held various management roles with luxury hotel brands in the UK. A British national, she holds a BA (Hons) in Hotel Management from the University of Strathclyde.
