M.O Studio
At the heart of the resort’s cultural programme, M.O Studio is a former warehouse reimagined as a space for contemporary art and creative expression. Its transformation deliberately preserved the building’s raw volumes and industrial character, while a striking glass roof was introduced to flood the space with natural light. Conceived as a blank canvas, the studio can be continually reimagined, allowing each exhibition and artist to bring a distinct identity to the space.
Throughout the year, M.O Studio hosts a rotating programme of exhibitions with a particular emphasis on Moroccan and African artists, inviting guests, visitors and Marrakech residents to experience the destination through the perspectives of those shaping its creative landscape today. Each year, during 1-54 Contemporary African Art Fair, the studio also forms part of the fair’s VIP programme, becoming one of the highlights of its annual calendar and showcasing artistic voices from across the African continent.
Beyond exhibitions, M.O Studio is also an evolving event space. As daylight fades, its architecture takes on a different character, providing a distinctive setting for cultural gatherings, performances and music.
