Born and raised in Chaoshan, Guangdong, Chef Fei is no stranger to Mandarin Oriental, having led the Chinese culinary teams across various properties in Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Jakarta, Beijing and Bangkok. He began his culinary journey at the age of 16 and advanced to the role of Executive Chef by 20. With over three decades of experience, Chef Fei curates a multi-sensory dining experience rooted in seasonality and an emphasis on the freshest, finest ingredients.
A celebrated figure in the culinary world who draws inspiration from time-honoured Cantonese and Teochew traditions, Chef Fei has led his Guangzhou establishment, Jiang by Chef Fei, to earn Two Michelin Stars for six consecutive years, and One Diamond in the Black Pearl Restaurant Guide for eight years since 2018—a testament to his mastery and unwavering dedication to elevating Chinese cuisine.
