Water Sports Equipment

The watersports centre has hobie cats, kayaks, paddleboards, windsurfing and snorkelling equipment available on a complimentary basis for all guests. Challenge yourself with self-guided island triathlon activities such as swimming, or snorkeling, kayaking or stand-up paddle boarding.

Reef Snorkelling

The Barrier Reef is a wonderful snorkeling destination for its calm and protected water. Snorkel in refreshing waters for an incredible aquatic adventure and experience a spectacular underwater encounter surrounded by rich tropical vegetation, colorful fish, and coral reef formations. Keep an eye out for Hawksbill sea turtle and stingray sightings. With crystal clear waters and the largest natural coral reef in the Caribbean, snorkelling is available at Godahl Beach, Twin Bay and L’Ance Guyac.

Kayaking Tours

Enjoy scenic kayak guided tours to Twin Bay and take in the beauty around you or kayak to Shell Beach and stop for lunch. Indulge at a hidden gem perfect for those seeking an authentic Caribbean beach experience. Open for lunch, the bar and grill offers an enticing array of local flavours, from grilled fish to jerk chicken.

Making the most of our 1200 acres, guests are invited to experience our spectacular natural settings inspired by the pristine elements surrounding by lush landscape and breath-taking island views.

Archery

Unleash your inner archer at Mandarin Oriental, Canouan, where you can experience the thrill of this ancient sport in a serene outdoor setting surrounded by the island’s lush greenery. Learn the basics or take your archery skills to the next level with the expert guidance and supervision of our experienced instructor. Put your strength, precision and focus to the test as you set your sights on the target in this fun and challenging activity, available as a group or private session.

Adventure Hike to Mount Royal

Adventure-seekers, head for the hills with a scheduled or private, guided hike up Mount Royal. Standing at 877ft, it’s the highest peak on the island and famed for its stunning panoramic views.

Golf

Boasting panoramic views overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, Canouan Golf Club offers an exhilarating and challenging Jim Fazio designed 18th hole championship golf course. Cool ocean breeze enhances the challenge and intense sloping terrain offers an ideal opportunity to work on perfecting your swing.

Tennis

The resort’s Tennis Centre offers three all-weather night-lit courts with complimentary equipment if you fancy a post-dinner match, as well as pro-shop and private lessons available seasonally on a request basis during high season periods. Open 9 am to 6 pm daily.

Beach Volleyball

Team up for an ultimate game of volleyball with friends while enjoying the cool breeze of the Atlantic Ocean. Situated on Godahl Beach, our beach volleyball court is complimentary and available all day.

Mandarin Oriental, Canouan has a fully equipped indoor fitness centre offering a variety of state-of-the-art Technogym equipment. Gratz Pilates reformer is available to all guests for individual use. Open 24 hours a day.

Kids Activity Guide

Pirates of Canouan Kids' Club

Located on the beach front, there are numerous activities to participate in daily, indoor and outdoor games, arts and crafts, culinary activities and a playground.

A spacious toddlers play area features toys, a sunken trampoline, baby swings and an adventure pirate ship with slides and climbing frames. There is also a library, a culinary counter equipped for baking classes, gaming terrace with pool table, table football and table tennis.

The Kids’ Club has a large media centre with interactive TV for teens, cinema projector for movie nights, Apple computers and a game room with Wii, Xbox and PlayStation.

Age Requirements & Fees

Children ages 6 months and older staying in the Kids' Club will incur babysitting fees
Children ages 3 and older are free

Babysitting Services

Babysitting is available on request and can be arranged with a minimum of 24-hour notice.

Prices

USD 25 per hour for a maximum of two kids.
USD 10 per hour per additional child.

Canouan Tortoise Talk

Canouan means “Turtle” in Arawakan. Learn about the reed-footed tortoise that inhabits Canouan Island and visit our turtle sanctuary with our in-house naturalists. Capture the true essence of the island and discover the biodiversity alongside our experts as they share their knowledge in a lively and interactive talk.

Cargo 4 Kids

Educational tools make a world of difference within St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Through the Cargo 4 Kids program, Mandarin Oriental, Canouan distributes school supplies brought over by guests to classrooms in need.
