Born in Korea and raised in Aspen, Colorado, Chef Back brings a sense of adventure and boundless creativity to his culinary creations in global destinations. Blending Japanese and Korean cuisine in mouthwateringly creative dishes, this is the first UK venture of internationally acclaimed Michelin-starred chef, Akira Back.

All-day dining takes on a new meaning with dishes inspired by Akira Back's Korean heritage and his modern interpretation of Japanese cuisine, further influenced by his global travels. At breakfast, the restaurant will feature inspiring Asian dishes alongside traditional international classics, while later in the day guests will appreciate a range of Chef Back's 'greatest hits'. These include exceptionally crafted Bento Boxes at lunch, with a focus on delicate snacks and sharing plates at night. Chef Back's dishes are crafted from the finest seasonal ingredients, with a focus on sourcing locally.

 

A warm and inviting atmosphere radiates within this dramatic dining room designed with the elements of earth, wind and water expressed throughout the experience. The breathtaking triple height sky roof and the marble, circular staircase leading into the space marries with exquisite decor which stimulates the senses. A dramatic setting, perfect for enjoying the intuitive and expert service for which Mandarin Oriental is renowned.
