Mario Paecke

Chef Mario started his culinary career as an apprentice at the Hotel zum Storchen in Bad Windsheim, Germany. He also participated in Schloss Elmau food promotions and retreat openings and was a member of their chefs’ team at the 2015 G7 summit. After working in renowned hotels in Europe, Chef Mario joined the Mandarin Oriental Group there in 2007 where he was promoted to Sous-Chef of the hotel’s Mark’s Restaurant. After three successful years he returned to Hotel-Schloss Elmau as Sous-Chef and then Chef de Cuisine of Michelin-starred Luce D’Oro restaurant, and rejoined the Mandarin Oriental Group in 2017 as Sous Chef of Amber.

Chef Mario has an excellent reputation for delivering Michelin-starred quality dining and innovative new menus. He brings a wealth of experience at renowned restaurants in Europe and Hong Kong under the guidance of the world’s leading chefs.
