Le Normandie Ushers in a New Era with Anne-Sophie Pic

Le Normandie, Thailand’s first French fine dining restaurant and a landmark of culinary excellence, is set to embark on a remarkable new chapter from 20 September 2025 with the arrival of Anne-Sophie Pic, the world’s most Michelin-starred female chef. This milestone collaboration heralds a bold new era - one that honours the restaurant’s storied past while embracing the future of French cuisine in Bangkok.

 

In this iconic gastronomic institution, Anne-Sophie Pic presents a creative cuisine that pays tribute to French gastronomy. By taking over this historic venue, she seeks to write a new chapter for Le Normandie, where her culinary philosophy of Suffusion extends from the dishes to the drinks. Some of her signature creations, such as the Berlingots, are featured on the menu, along with reimagined dishes like the “Lobster Dashi with Red Fruits,” which reflects both French culinary tradition and her deep affection for Asia.

 

Le Normandie first opened in 1958 atop the then Tower Wing - at that time one of Thailand’s tallest buildings - as Le Normandie Grill. It was transformed in 1969 into Bangkok’s first true fine dining destination, and in 2015 was thoughtfully revitalised with a timeless interior that continued to captivate discerning guests. Today, Le Normandie remains the only French restaurant in Thailand recognised by Les Grandes Tables du Monde.

 

The newly reimagined Le Normandie, designed by Humbert & Poyet, honours the restaurant’s rich legacy while embracing a bold new vision, offering a refined and immersive dining experience.

 

Dress Code: To ensure a sophisticated and comfortable atmosphere, ladies, gentlemen and children over seven years of age are asked to wear elegant attire and footwear. A jacket is compulsory for gentlemen during dinner and may be provided upon request. Sleeveless shirts for gentlemen are not permitted at any time of the day.

 

Dietary Requirements: Thank you for informing us of any specific dietary requirements at least 48 hours prior to your reservation. Our culinary team will do its best to accommodate your requests.

 

Luggage: Our concierge service is available to store your bulky items during your experience, so you can fully enjoy your time.

 

Group Reservations: For groups of six or more, please contact the restaurant directly by email or telephone. A uniform choice of options (set menu or à la carte) will be required for all guests.

 

Dining Period: Please note that last orders for lunch are at 1:30pm and for dinner at 9pm.
