Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong, demonstrates its commitment to sustainability by implementing water-saving showerheads, upgrading to energy-efficient LED lighting, overhauling chillers, and installing solar film on guestroom windows. Additionally, we improved waste management by increasing its diversion rate from 50% to 55%, minimizing landfill reliance and emissions through innovative recycling and reduction programs. We are the first hotel in Hong Kong to introduce returnable glass bottles in guest rooms, eliminating single-use plastic water bottles and supporting a local circular economy.

Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong, has made significant strides in responsible sourcing by achieving 100% procurement of key agricultural commodities, including coffee, tea, vanilla, cocoa, sugar, cage-free eggs, seafood, and paper. This initiative underscores the hotel's commitment to ethical and environmental standards, supporting sustainable farming, protecting biodiversity, and promoting fair labour practices. By prioritizing responsible sourcing, the hotel ensures that its supply chain aligns with the highest values for the benefit of guests and the community.
