The Oriental Bangkok, Then and Now

A half-day walking tour, The Oriental Bangkok Then and Now, is recommended for those wanting to learn more about the neighbourhood surrounding Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok. Guests will stroll down small lanes, weaving on and off bustling Charoenkrung Road, Bangkok’s first paved street, discovering local life and heritage buildings and getting a glimpse of what mused many of the literary legends that stayed at the Oriental. The excursion will end with a river crossing to Lhong 1919, Bangkok’s first steamship pier, now restored and turned into a public space with museums and galleries, where lunch will be served at their riverside restaurant.

This experience is priced at THB 4,600*per person with a minimum of 2 people per booking. This includes an English-speaking guide, lunch, snacks and drinking water. Availability is limited and advance booking is required.
